  • Liushan Road gate can accept the deliveries whole day. This is the main gate we suggest you choose for your delivery.
  • Please avoid sending any deliveries to the Huamu Road gate between 7:30~8:35am during morning student arrival time based on government restrictions for student safety. The guards are expected only for gate supervision, not allowed to accept any delivery at that time.

Lushan Road address in Chinese:

  • Address:上海浦东新区花木路1817号  ( 1817 Huamu Road, Pudong Shanghai)
  • School Name:上海耀中外籍人员子女学校 ( Yew Chung International School Shanghai)

Thanks you all for your hep with this.

STAFF LOUNGE

Two new Wellness books in the libraries, as recommended by Jamie

We have a copy of both these books in both the CP and RP library. Let library staff know if you would like us to save one of them for you.

What Happened to You? by Bruce D. Perry and Oprah Winfrey

Renowned brain development and trauma expert, Dr. Bruce Perry, and Oprah Winfrey, discuss the impact of trauma and adversity and how healing must begin with a shift to asking, “What happened to you?” rather than “What’s wrong with you?”

In conversation throughout the book, the two focus on understanding people, behaviour and ourselves. It’s a subtle but profound shift in our approach to trauma, and it’s one that allows us to understand our past, in order to clear a path to our future.

The Body Keeps the Score, by Bessel Van Der Kolk

Fundamental in understanding how our physical self is connected to all the things we go through and beyond. Fascinating, hard to put down, and filled with powerful case histories. . . . the most important series of breakthroughs in mental health in the last thirty years — Norman Doidge, author of The Brain That Changes Itself.

Christmas DIY Kit Sales for Family Activities

Like every year, Sweet Ever After organizes Christmas sales to accompany the spirit of Christmas and also support Heart to Heart.

If you are interested to purchase and save on the delivery fee, you can order with this poster by December 12 to pick it up from school on December 15.

Teachers Day – Coffee, Pies & a small token of our appreciation ☕️🥧 🎁

We would like to combine our celebrations of Teachers Day and Parent Info Evenings together.

As you would have seen, HR will be providing coffee and refreshments in the reception room (RP) and staff lounge (CP) in time for morning recess.

Don’t forget that the theme for this year’s celebration is #teachingismysuperpower in recognition of our super teachers (a.k.a. YOU!). To bring a little bit of light-hearted fun into the event, HR has placed some stickers and photo props at the venues, feel free to take some fun pictures. If you wish to share the pictures on your social media profiles, we encourage you to include the hashtags #teachingismysuperpower, #ycyweducation, and #ycisshanghai.

Also, to celebrate everyone’s stunning efforts in preparing for this week’s and next week’s Parent Information Evenings (PIE),  CLT will provide some actual pies for you, also available during morning recess in the staff lounges at both campuses.

As a small ‘Teachers Day‘ gift,  a special (limited edition!) re-usable YCIS mask will be provided for each staff member – please pick up in the reception room (RP) and office (CP).

ECE Leaders

Please note that VPs and Heads of ECE will not be available this afternoon. During this time, if any issues arise, please see Debby (ECE) or Jon/Mel (Pri) .

Good Morning!

A really big well done to all the teachers and leaders involved in yesterday’s parent info evening. We already had a lot of very positive feedback from parents regarding the new format. A further QR code will be sent to parents this week requesting any other feedback, the results of which we will share with you next week. Thanks as always for all of your efforts in making yesterday such a successful evening. Already looking forward to Y2 and Y4’s evening tonight!
