The parents have spend a great deal of time and energy in not only preparing the food but also the decorations, displays etc…if you do see parents today coming in to deliver  food in the staffroom and parent room, please ensure to thank them…they really a supportive group.

Rob would like to call a brief staff meeting tonight at 3.30pm in the Auditorium. It will only take approximately 10 mins at most, but I would like everyone to be present. After the briefing, please continue with your Team meetings.

It is a wet day, Please be aware  rainboots are not on the slide if you go outdoor play.

PE– from now on can both teachers please attend the PE sessions.

FYI- Visitors on campus today

5 professors from Honkong Educational University will visit Pudong campus today. Sissy will be touring them the campus once they arrive. Please be aware that they may quickly drop by some classrooms along their tour. If you should see the visitors around the campus, please smile and say hello/ni hao. At the same time, please also speak to your classes about this, and reinforce why it it important to walk on one side of the corridors /stairs, and not to push past people in corridors. Thanks!

Bus Safety

• Thanks all for everyone’s efforts in helping organize the bus students at the end of the day in the cafeteria. It really has made a positive difference.
• For the staff bus, please can we ensure that children do not sit on the front seats or the middle back seat…for safety purposes, and that seat belts are worn by everyone.

We will meet in the Staff Room at 3:40pm together to go through the key points of the Parents Information Night, then will spread into year level group to discuss more details relate to your year level.

Seesaw Help Desk

Seesaw help desk will be set up in the ECE library from 3:15~3:45pm, if parents have any problem to set up the seesaw account, they can seek for help during that time.  Amita, Alex and Sil will be there to support.

K4 Puppet Show

Tuesday 4th Sep, 9am in the Auditorium Room. Puppet Show is only for K4 students.

Tony Lee will spend 20 to 30 minutes for the show. The contents of the stories are fairy tales and character building stories etc.

Seesaw

Seesaw will be relaunching to all ECE families from this Tuesday. Please note the following points:

• Monday, 27 Aug — Seesaw parent letter will be sent out from school
• Tuesday, 28 Aug — Class teachers to send out the QR code to each family for them to scan and access their child’s Seesaw journal. The QR code needs to be printed in both English and Chinese version to all the families (existing families and new families)
• Wednesday, 29 Aug — A Seesaw help desk will be set up in the ECE library for those families who need extra support.
• Tuesday, 4th Sep — As part of the Parent Information Night presentations, we will share the Seesaw video and a slide about why we use Seesaw.

Before we launch Seesaw, it will be important that teachers have one GROUP picture post on the Seesaw.

If you need support in doing this, please let your year level leader know.

BootCamp

Please see training schedule attached. Please note that some sessions are for returning staff too, so please check the schedule and note down the sessions which are relevant to you.

Please note, ECE new teachers are expected to join today’s Seesaw introduction Training session @3:30pm. Amita will do the basic introduction and all the features of Seesaw. Please bring your laptops and iPads along.

Friday, 31 Aug from 10:30~11:30am outside the ECE building.

K2 Picnic Day letter will be delivered to K2 classes in the morning, please send out during dismissal time. Teachers also need to send an email to those families who did not attend the school today.

ECE Parent Information Night will be hold on Tuesday 4th Sep, from 5:30[pm. More information will pass to you on the staff meeting.
