T-Shirts for Friday, from Anita.

  • Parents will receive a blog post today which explains what we are doing with t-shirts. Please read this.
  • I am helping all the Y4 and Y5 students choose the correct size during Art class this week.  They write their names on the tag inside the t-shirt and then I give all the shirts to the co- teachers, who will then hand them out on Friday morning.
  • Y1-3: I will collate the correct number of each colour/gender t-shirt and hand it to the classroom teachers before Thursday.  It will be the job of the Y1, Y2, and Y3 co-teachers/student to write their names on the tag once they confirm that the shirt fits. If not, they can come to the Art room and exchange it.

Student Focus request – Message from Andrea Griego

I am continuing to do student focus stories for the newsletter. I need your help for these stories and would like suggestions all year long. I would like to know if you have any students that did or achieved something outstanding, interesting or extraordinary outside of school i.e.- musician, acting, charity, inventor, sports, arts or any other interesting hobby. Please send me a quick email with the student’s name and their achievement. If the student is chosen, I will interview the student and the article will appear in the newsletter. Thanks for your help, Andrea.

From Leo

I’d like to invite everyone to an after school discipleship study on Mondays. I know there are weeks that other meetings take place and those meetings take priority. We will start with Ray Vandeer Laan series, “That the World May Know”, for our study and see what the group would like after that.

You can visit the website: https://www.thattheworldmayknow.com for more information. Ray’s preaching and teaching ministry is focused on understanding the Bible in light of the historical and cultural context in which God placed it. This perspective on the Bible highlights God’s call for His people to be a transforming influence on their culture. He uses research of the top scholars in the fields of archaeology, history, and Biblical study as tools to explore the Biblical text ever more deeply. His gifts, expertise, and calling are to link that cultural information and the Bible so that its message applies to our lives today in very practical ways.

I encourage you to visit the site and join us for the Bible study.

WHEN: Mondays 4:00-4:45ish on these dates where it should not clash with other meetings: Oct. 23; Nov. 6, 20; Dec.4 for the rest of this semester.

WHERE: my room, RP 411

If you’re interested or have other questions please send me an email.
