Mid-Year Report Guidelines 2019-2020

The time has come around for us to start preparing for Mid-Year Reports. Year Leaders would have already spoken to you in regards to changes with the reports.

Please find below the updated instructions and make note of the following points:

  1. Comments: There have been changes made to the comments and character limits. Please look at the sample comments and structure of how these are to be written.
  2. Curriculum statement:  Comments for Mathematics, English and Topic will now include a curriculum statement. We have included instructions as to how you will need to insert the curriculum statement in PTP. Please read this section carefully. Year Leaders please run through this in your team meetings.
  3. Before you commence writing your comments, the first step is to ensure that your gradebook is up-to-date and that you review grades given.
  4. It is also a good time for you to start making notes for student comments. As per last year, we will be asking specialist teachers to pass on any relevant comments for students if necessary.

Mid-Year-Report-Writing-Instructions-2019-20

If you have any questions, please ask your Year Level Leader or Coordinator.

Thanks,

Melissa & John

Semester 1 Progress Reports Oct 2019

Good Afternoon and Happy Friday!!

It’s time to start the preparations for Progress Reports!

We have attached the Progress Report Instructions outlining expectations and the timeline to support you in completing these reports.  Progress-Report-Procedures-Oct-2019-20

This year, the main change to the report  is that the EAL teachers will not be sending a separate Progress Report home. They will include a short comment into the main class Progress Report. Please see the guidance in the attached instructions for information about this.

John and I will go through these in detail with you at your next year level meeting, so please can we ask the Year Level Leaders to add this to the next meeting agenda. Kathleen will also meet with EAL teachers.

A reminder for teams to ensure that effort marks are moderated within the team.

Enjoy your weekend!

Message from Clair McEnhill

I am running my first half marathon ever in August this year. I am running for a charity that is close to my heart called ‘CALM’ (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

CALM is dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. On average 12 men take their own life every day. CALM works to prevent male suicide by providing services for men who are down or in crisis, and by campaigning for culture change so men feel able to seek help. https://www.thecalmzone.net

It would be great if you could support this cause and sponsor me please click on my page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/clair-mcenhill. I can also take donations in cash and WeChat if that works better.
