Assemblies

The stomach flu that has been going around RP is now firmly in decline. We will be sending an update to the parents today, but please note that the assemblies that were postponed last week will go ahead this week as follows:

  • 3D Curriculum Assembly – Wednesday, April 25, 8.50am
  • Environment Week Assembly – Friday, April 27, 8.45am

We will inform the parents of these rescheduled dates, but please also remind your students through a note in the diary. We will also ask the students to wear their environment clothes on Friday as well, due to the missed assembly.

Play Structure – Swings

As notified last week, please can all class teachers ensure that they have spoken to their classes about safety on the swings. As a reminder, please get the following points across

  • Please do not let more than 2 children be on the swings at any one time. (The sign on the swings stating ‘4 person max’ will be removed)
  • Children should hold on to the side ropes when sitting on the swing.
  • Please ensure children push from one end (not both)
  • Children should not be pushing the swing too high – this is very important
  • If children continue to disregard these rules, then please remove them from the apparatus.
  • Please highlight to your class that the same rules apply after school as well.

If at any time you see anything that looks unsafe, then please ask the children to stop it immediately.

Parent Community Forum

This takes place today, 8-10am, in the RP Auditorium. The focus will be on the Wellbeing Curriculum…specifically the ‘Body’ unit. After this forum, some parents may have some questions regarding the topic, so please ensure you are familiar with the blog post sent out on Friday which details the standards of the Body Unit. The post can be found on each year level’s blog.

Chinese HIPO teachers appraisal

Chinese HIPO teachers appraisal starts from today and goes on until Wednesday. Chinese principals from other campuses will visit the campus and observe some Chinese classes. Please can co-teachers ensure that the classes immediately before the Chinese lesson finish on time. Thanks!
