Christmas Tree Lighting – Friday, Nov. 24th from 4:30pm – Christmas is upon us once again! The festive season will be officially open at YCIS this Friday night, when we hold our annual Christmas Tree Lighting with music, singing, markets and more. Festivities start from 4:30pm and festivities will continue well into the night. Be sure not to miss one of the most magical nights on the YCIS calendar.

You are invited to take part in That the World May Know (TTWMK) discipleship series. This takes place this afternoon at 4:00 in my office, 411. We are studying “The Life and Ministry of the Messiah”. TTWMK is a series covering several volumes from historian Ray Vander Laan. The series is filmed on location I Israel and the Middle East and brings the Bible into historical perspective with truths that we can apply in our lives today. Today’s lesson is “My Rock and my Fortress”

Movember for the Renewal Centre
During the month of November several staff members’ moustaches have a significance you might miss at first glance. These men are growing their moustaches on behalf of the Renewal Centre, a place that offers refuge for homeless here in Shanghai. At the tree lighting this Friday, or anytime for the rest of the month, Bryan Fine, a Secondary teacher at CP, is collecting donations for the Renewal Centre. At RP Lynn Xie will accept cash donations for the Renewal Centre until November 30.
