On the evening of 8 December 2017, we held the 2nd Music and Arts Mosaic in Hongqiao campus. The charity night was a combination of music, art display and auction, and Christmas bazaar. Despite the cold weather, the warm atmosphere in C gym completely melted the winter.
Junior Ensemble welcomed the guests with their melodies at 6 o’clock. The C lobby was filled with beautiful sounds from piano solos and jazz piano. Everyone could feel the Christmas atmosphere. We set up a dance floor area in the C gym. Professional dancers whirled on the dancing floor with the fabulous music played by our orchestra. With the encouragement of professional dancers, our parents and students also joined in the dancing. When the music of Pop Dance and Street Dance went off, the gym immediately began to heat up. All the children joined them and enjoyed the music and dance. The performance was definitely fantastic.
Our students’ art works were hung on the wall. Every piece of work was creative and colorful. The works came from students’ daily art classes and Co-Curriculum Activities. At least one original work of each Year 3-6 student was displayed. The perfect combination of music, dance and art produced quite a lot masterpieces.
34 pieces of art works from our students and artist in residence were displayed in C lobby. These works were for silent auction. The money raised would be donated to ‘Seeds of Hope’ and “Baobei Foundation’ charities. Other student art works have been printed on practical mugs, fridge stickers and post-it notes for charity sale. These students’ creative works expressed their love and kindness. Our world becomes beautiful when we show love and kindness.
