Summer Gala Concert

Dear Teachers,

As you may be aware the Primary Summer Music Gala is coming up on one week, on Friday, June 17th at 6:30pm. There will be several rehearsals next week where students will be pulled out of class for several periods. CP students will be collected and supervised by the Music Teachers.  RP students will be collected and supervised by designated teachers from each year level.  Flexibility by all teachers is appreciated at this time to pull together a concert involving students from Y1 -Y6.
Attached is our full rehearsal schedule with times listed for when students will be collected and will returned.  Also attached is a full list of the students by their class. I have also listed below our rehearsal dates with times and ensembles involved. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.   The times for those travelling by bus to the other campus are shown in the attachment.  When RP students and teachers arrive at CP, they will meet in one half of the CP Gym.

Revised Duty Schedule During Y5 Camp

Dear CP Teachers,

While we are away at the Y5 Camp, the following duty schedule will apply.  For these 3 days, the play structure will be closed due to the numbers of teachers available.

We appreciate the supervision of the Y6 and Specialist teachers. Please ensure you review the schedule to ensure you know when your duties are from Wednesday to Friday.

Any questions, please let me know.

Andrew

End of Year Assessments (EOY)

Dear Y2-Y6 EAL and Co-Teachers,

The EOY Assessments begin from the week after next, so we would like to share this information with you now so that you and your teams can be prepared.  The attachment has all the specific details you need and key dates.  The papers will be passed to you by the Year Leader by the end of the week.

End Year Assessment Procedures 2015-16

Key points to note –

  • Students should not be completing more than one assessment in a day.
  • Mornings are preferable as it is the optimum time for students to demonstrate their abilities.
  • These assessments will inform your reports so if you choose to begin your reports sooner, starting with the general or Science/Topic comment is our suggestion.
  • It is our purpose to get a NC level for each and every child; beginner EAL students are the exception.
  • Moderation for marking must take place beforehand.

Maths Assessments

Week 35 – From Monday 16th May

English Assessments

Week 36 – From Monday 23rd May

Deadline for data input

Wednesday 1st June

This will be discussed in your team meetings next week, but please take the time to read this over beforehand.  Any further questions, please address to Melissa or I.

Thanks,

Andrew
