Duty Reminder

Having been outside a number of times this week observing the children on the new play structure, it really has been great to see the children so excited and engaged in outdoor play. It has certainly made a difference to recess times.

Due to the popularity of the new play structure however, there are some extra supervision challenges. It is very important that the duty teachers remain alert at all times and observe the children carefully, ensuring that they are not engaging in unsafe play. In order for this to happen, please note the following reminders:

  • Telephones should not be used/seen at all during supervision times.
  • Be on time. Arriving even 2 minutes late can potentially have significant consequences.
  • Do not leave the supervision area during your duty. If there is an emergency, then please inform nurse/another staff member immediately.
