Teachers Away

Francene Cambell is away. Her Learning Support lessons are cancelled.

Carry Wang is away until Wednesday (sick leave). Her lessons will be covered by Rita Yu.

KNI money and slips

Any late slips and/or money for Kids Night In can be sent directly to Jeanne or Ryan at RP and to Elynnor at CP.

 

Year Book Make-up Photos

These will take place today. Student lists as follows:

A reminder of the schedule tomorrow:

  • 8.30-9.40 – Y1 and Y2 (RP Auditorium)
  • 10.00-11.30 – Y3 and Y4 (RP Auditorium)
  • 1.40-2.30 – Y5–6 (CP Library)

Due to the relatively low numbers needing photos, there is flexibility with the above schedule, so feel free to go when it best suits your class/timetable. However, please note that the photographer will only be at RP from 8.30-11.45am, and at CP from 1.00pm-3.30pm. It is very important that all the children who are on the list have there photo taken.

Finally, just another reminder for staff to ensure that they have had their photograph taken, if not already done so.

 

Chinese Handwriting Competition – Message from Janie

Today, we will hold a Chinese handwriting competition in Chinese class. RP Chinese teachers will display the students’ excellent work on the class board in the hallway for one or two weeks, while CP students’ work will be displayed on the windows near the office on the 1st floor. All the year level students will vote for the best work. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

 

Year 6 Sports Notes

  • CISSA Junior Boys Fixture: Match away to NAIS -Bus Leaves CP at 3.10pm & returns RP at 5.45pm & CP 6.00pm)
  • CISSA Junior Boys practice – Practice on Friday will be cancelled due to ‘Kids Night In’ event at CP; it will be rescheduled for Monday 18th April (Coach Kravalis)

Vote today for YCIS Student’s Artwork for TimeOut Family Shanghai Cover Competition!

TimeOut Shanghai Family is hosting a student artwork cover competition for international school students in Shanghai. Artwork submitted by a Year 6 student from our Century Park Campus, Sasha Sia-Jacob (6A), has been placed in the final voting round of the competition. Voting is now open to the public, and the artwork that receives the most votes will be featured as the cover of the upcoming Summer Issue of their magazine (with a circulation over 50,000). Please take a moment to vote for “YCIS Century Park Campus” artwork today here. Voting is open through April 16, and feel free to share the link!

Farewell to Elizabeth Black

Elizabeth Black from Admissions will be finishing up at YCIS this Friday April 15. We appreciate everything she has done, not only in Admissions but also for the school community. We wish her all the best!

If you see Elizabeth around campus this week, please feel free to extend your greetings wishing her best of luck in her future endeavors!

  • Environment Week Book Swap – Remember to collect and store any books brought in by your students from April 5th to April 15th. Please take a running total of how many books each student brings in (important). For more details, click on following link: Book Swap info
  • Charity Quiz Night (Friday 22nd April, 6.00pm) – Just a reminder to contact Moira as soon as possible if you have already formed a quiz team, or are intending to attend – we don’t need payment immediately, but we do need to know for numbers.
