Dear all,

On Tuesday, April 19th, we will have a book swap as part of our Environment Week. The idea is to encourage our students to reuse their old books by sharing them with others and reduce the amount of new books they buy by getting a book that is new to them from our swap. Students will bring in gently used books from April 5th to April 15th.

Here is what we need from you, the wonderful teachers:

  • To collect and store any books brought in by your students from April 5th to April 15th. Please keep these in your classroom. If your students bring in too many books for you to store neatly/safely in your classroom then please email Liz at elizabeth.hambleton@ycef.com.
  • Take a running total of how many books each student brings in. This is very important because we will use this record later. Please print out or save table attached: Book Swap Details and Record
  • Closer to the day of the swap, sign up for a time to bring your class to the courtyard (RP) or library (CP). More details to come after the break!

A parent letter will be sent out this week, as attached: Book Swap Parent Letter 2016

Thank you for your help, and please contact Liz for any questions.
