Astronomy Camp
The longest-running science camp in the state of Arizona, Astronomy Camp encourages high school students to expand their horizons and develop a cosmic perspective on the earth. The Beginning Astronomy Camp, for students aged 12-15, explores the basics of astronomy as well as other topics in science and engineering through hands-on projects such as measuring solar activity and hiking a scale model of the solar system. Students in the Advanced Astronomy Camp (ages 14-19) develop and present research projects on topics such as astronomical photography, spectroscopy, CCD imaging, spectral classification, and asteroid orbit determination. Both camps take place at the Kitt Peak National Observatory, with day trips to the University of Arizona, Mt. Graham Observatory, and other nearby astronomy research facilities. More »

Chicago Summer Soccer Camp: “Come for the Soccer – Stay for Chicago!”
Our vision is to bring an annual international youth  ages 10-16 soccer tournament to the heart of Chicago called the Chicago KICS Cup, focused on competition, camaraderie and cultural exchange. This summer 2500 youth athletes and 1500 parents are anticipated to be in our inaugural event. Currently we have teams committed from Ghana, Ukraine, Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, France and Puerto Rico. We are also close to signing teams from China, Italy, Costa Rica, Netherlands and Colombia along with many teams from around Chicago and the US.

Along with a great soccer tournament, we are looking to highlight all that Chicago has to offer the world traveler. We will have some unique events including an opening ceremony with over 4000 players and parents at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, a closing gala at Northerly Island and an international movie premier release for the feature length documentary, “The Beautiful Game”.

New York Film Academy 

The New York Film Academy is pleased to offer film, acting, game design, photography and animation summer camps for kids (ages 10-13) in one-week and two-week camps during the weekdays in the summer months and on weekends during the school year. We have designed our kids programs with the same high standards that we apply to our high school and university-level programs. Held at the Film Academy’s campuses in Los Angeles and New York City, students learn on professional equipment from instructors with advanced degrees and industry experience. Students receive a copy of their completed work for their respective camp or program in addition to a certificate upon completion of the program.

Quantum Learning Summer Camp

SuperCamp’s Junior Forum is a summer program for students entering grades 6 to 8.  Junior Forum takes new and soon-to-be teens and helps them become independent, confident and self-motivated learners ready to succeed at the next level in school and life.

Every student who attends SuperCamp has a personal growth and learning plan available to them from the time they enter middle school up to and including their college years. Students who attend Junior Forum have the opportunity to return the next year on the Junior Forum Leadership Track, if they are still Junior Forum eligible. “L-Track” takes students deeper into the learning and life skills curriculum, while incorporating leadership skills that help them develop their personal leadership style. As they move into high school, they can attend Senior Forum. After their first year in Senior Forum, they can return to the Senior Forum Leadership Team or, as rising 10th graders and graduates of a SuperCamp program, they can attend Leadership Forum.

University of Maryland – Pre College Summer Programs

One way to have fun and find out if engineering might be a good fit for you is to try one of the summer programs offered by the Clark School. You can learn about engineering, participate in hands-on activities, and meet engineering students and professors.

The University of Maryland offers a number of summer programs for high school students to explore the various disciplines of engineering. The Discovering Engineering program for high school juniors and seniors is a one-week immersion in the university’s engineering program, including tours, lectures, laboratory work, demonstrations and team projects designed to help students develop their math, science and engineering skills and decide if engineering is right for them.
