The faculty of Engineering is promoting a 2-week summer camp which combines English training, engineer classes and recreation activities.
Since its inception in 2003, DEEP has brought together over 10,000 like-minded students to explore some of the most innovative topics in engineering and science today—taught by some of our faculty’s top alumni, PhD and Master’s students. The program is designed to expose bright young minds to concepts usually presented in the upper years of an undergraduate degree or in graduate school. The new Summer Scholars Program is 14 days filled with engaging, experiential learning at the UBC’s beautiful Okanagan campus. Students will explore environmental science and tackle the hot topics of sustainability, study with top professors and leaders in the field and experience one of the world’s leading universities in the inspiring outdoors of the Okanagan Valley
This program runs from mid-end July.
The program is open to students between 16 and 18 years of age, entering one of their final two years of recognized high-school study. There are no pre-requisites for entry, but students must be in good academic standing and will be asked to provide a transcript.

Our Revolutions in Biomedicine summer programme, which provides a high octane introduction to new ideas, internationally recognised faculty and an amazing group of peers, makes for an unforgettable experience. The four-week summer programme will give you a unique insight into past, present and future biomedical transformations in the immersive research environment of the globally renowned Imperial College Faculty of Medicine.
Our intensive 2 and 3 week programmes run in July and August in the UK and the USA, then between December and February in Australia and New Zealand. 8. Oxford & Cambridge Summer Academy
OCSA is a 2 week program for highs chool students 16 – 18 years old a chance to study at these prestigious universities. Participants will spend the first week in Oxford and the second in Cambridge. While the programme focuses on preparing high school students for the college application process, participants can choose one secondary subject of choice from a list of interesting topics we offer.
9. Oxford Spires The Oxford Spires Summer School is run by 2 tutoring firms in the UK: Axiom Tutoring Ltd. and GlobalME Tutoring Inc. 8. GAP Year Opportunities: Africa & Asia Venture (AV)
Africa & Asia Venture (AV) is a small, international, volunteering organization based in the UK that has been operating since 1993. Over 5,500 volunteers aged 18 to 25 from 30+ countries have joined our full-immersion, group-based projects in developing countries and contributed more than 1,200 man-years of service to the communities.
Operation Wallacea runs conservation research expeditions to 11 different countries worldwide. These expeditions are designed with specific wildlife conservation aims in mind – from identifying areas needing protection, through to implementing and assessing conservation management programmes. What is different about Operation Wallacea is that large teams of university academics who are specialists in various aspects of biodiversity or social and economic studies are concentrated
at the target study sites giving volunteers the opportunity to work on a range of projects.
