The Parent Support blog will provide you with tips and resources to support your child at school and at home, while the YCIS Sports blog will give you a ‘one stop shop’ to access all information related to sports teams at YCIS.
We outline details about each blog below. Both blogs can also be accessed directly from the Parent Blog, where links have been created.
- Parent Support Blog
We are very pleased to announce we have launched a new resource blog for parents. You can find it here: http://blogs.pd.ycis-sh.com/studentsupport/
Parents often request strategies and activities for children at home. The Learning Support team, School Counsellor and ECE Student Support Teacher have put together a blog containing articles and information on the most common questions all in one place for every parent to access.
We have separated the resources into categories:
- Chinese (link to Chinese resource blog pages)
- Homework Support
- Home Resources
We will update new and interesting pictures, articles and activities regularly. Therefore, you can subscribe to the blog to receive an alert to follow-up!
We’d also like to hear from you. Please get in touch and let us know what you would like to see on the blog. Email our school counsellor, Zoe Andrews: firstname.lastname@example.org
- YCIS Sports Blog
We are excited to launch the YCIS Sports Blog: http://blogs.pd.ycis-sh.com/sportsleagues/
Through this blog we will communicate all sports related information for our:
- YCIS Swim Team,
- Primary Football Teams and
- Primary Basketball Team.
The aim of the YCIS Sports Blog is to improve communication and make it easier for parents to find information. It will also help improve the sign-up process for swim meets and team sports tournaments / games. On the home page you will find all recent sports posts, and by using the tabs at the top of the screen you will find sport specific blog posts regarding your child’s team.
Please contact our Primary Sports and Co-Curricular Coordinator Mr. Lennart (email@example.com) if you have any questions regarding the YCIS Sports Blog.
