Summer Music Festival – RP Students Taking Part on Thursday, June 20th

The YCIS Pudong Summer Music Festival will be taking place on Thursday, June 20th at CP Campus starting at 5:30pm.  To finalise preparations for the 70 students from Year 3-5 who are featuring in one or more concert items, they will take part in a rehearsal on Thursday afternoon at CP campus.

All the students on the accompanying list will need to meet with music staff in the RP cafeteria on Thursday afternoon at 2:45pm for a 2:50pm departure.  Please check the list for any students who are in your class and please also help them to remember their 2:45pm appointment.  Please contact Nick Adgemis if there are any issues arising with students from your class taking part.  Thank you all for your support and we hope to see you at the festival!

Year End Stationery Collection

Support Division will be placing empty boxes in all the corridors of CP Campus to collect used and discarded stationery items from your classrooms, starting on Wednesday, June 26. As you pack up your classroom, please consider Seeds of Hope as we can donate most of the used stationery items (if they are in reasonable condition) to the schools we are involved in. We are also interested in “creative and art” items e.g. ribbons, eyes, glitter, stickers, paint brushes etc.

This past year we donated most of the items (from last year) to a new project at the BoAi Primary School (run totally on donations) in Shanxi Province, as well as supporting the YCEF communal project in the Philippines (see pictures in link below). Both of these schools expressed their gratitude for the items received.

Thanks for the support.

Message from Clair McEnhill

I am running my first half marathon ever in August this year. I am running for a charity that is close to my heart called ‘CALM’ (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

CALM is dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. On average 12 men take their own life every day. CALM works to prevent male suicide by providing services for men who are down or in crisis, and by campaigning for culture change so men feel able to seek help. https://www.thecalmzone.net

It would be great if you could support this cause and sponsor me please click on my page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/clair-mcenhill. I can also take donations in cash and WeChat if that works better.
